The journey
We leave Krk and follow the Adriatic south through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The road carries us on to Albania, where mountains meet the Ionian Sea, before we continue to Greece and Athens.
Athens is the southernmost point, but only the middle of the story. On the way north, we ride to the rock pillars of Meteora, then towards North Macedonia and Lake Ohrid. The scenery changes again as we cross the Balkan mountains on the way home.
Six countries and many landscapes later, we reach the Croatian coast and return to Krk. ALMA is made for riders who enjoy the distance between places as much as the destinations themselves.
Along the way
The Adriatic coastThe opening ride south from Krk beside the sea.
MontenegroCoastal roads and mountains as the journey enters the southern Balkans.
Albanian RivieraRoads above the Ionian Sea, with Vlorë and the southern coast on our way to Greece.
AthensThe southernmost point of our journey, reached on our own motorcycles.
MeteoraA landscape of towering rock pillars and monasteries on the road north.
Lake OhridA historic lakeside town and a change of pace before the return through the Balkans.
