The journey

From the island of Krk, we ride through Croatia and Serbia into Romania. The road leads through the Carpathians to Transalpina and Transfăgărășan, but the journey continues well beyond these two celebrated passes.

We make time for Sibiu and Brașov, the castles of Peleș and Bran, and the dramatic passage through Bicaz Gorge beside Red Lake. Farther north, Transrarău and Bukovina reveal another side of the country, before Alba Iulia and Hunedoara lead us west.

On the return, we ride beside the Danube at the Iron Gates and cross Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina towards Krk. GROM is a chance to travel through Romania, with time for its towns, mountain roads and quieter places.

Offer option: all-inclusive meal plan

Included: Sixteen nights in selected hotels, daily breakfast and dinner, water, coffee, tea and soft drinks with included meals, welcome and farewell dinners, fifteen guided riding days, tour leader and route guidance, route planning and daily organisation, and motorcycle parking at hotels where available.

Not included: Motorcycle rental, fuel, attraction tickets, alcoholic beverages, airfare, travel insurance, souvenirs and personal expenses. Confirm any airport transfer arrangements with us before booking.
